What Are Penalty Points
Every F1 driver has a Super License, which is just like a drivers license for the racetrack. All forms of FIA affiliated motorsport require them, to keep track of a drivers racing details. Super Licenses include the holders number of penalty points, which accumulate after penalties are applied for on-track incidents. The system is identical to points on a drivers license, where different infractions are accompanied by varying numbers of points.If a driver picks up 12 or more penalty points in the span of a year, they will earn a one race ban. Though penalty points can be controversial, they aid in the application of safety and regulations in F1.

F1 Cars Are Hard To Turn
While you are in the car, you will find it extremely hard to turn it. Firstly, if you are going too slow, the vehicle will slide because of the tires lack of traction and grip. Then, once you are driving at high speed, controlling the car while taking corners is extremely challenging.
So, in an F1 car, you cannot be scared because that can be fatal. Instead, you need to be brave enough while staying 100% focused on ensuring that you can take corners adequately.
Why Do F1 Cars Spark
The answer to this question is found in the relative height of a Formula 1 car. With the floor being just millimeters off the ground, combined with the undulation and inconsistencies of the track surface, sparking is almost a given.Different factors affect the amount of sparking from an F1 car, with the most common being the fuel load. In qualifying, cars run low fuel for optimum weight and higher speeds, but on race day cars can have up to 110kg of fuel to last them the entire grand prix. You may have noticed planks of wood on the floor of Formula 1 cars, on the rare occasion that the underside is visible. The purpose of this skid block is to ensure that all cars are following the ride height regulations. If the wooden plank has been worn down by more than a millimeter at the end of a race, that car will be disqualified. But, as expected, teams take advantage of a helpful loophole when it comes to ride height. They place pieces of titanium in strategic parts of the floor, which are designed to strike the track instead of the skid block, thus reducing the amount of wear on the plank and producing a spectacular shower of sparks.

Autdromo Internacional Do Algarve And Other Circuits In Europe
There are four types of F1 driving experiences offered by LRS Formula Bronze, Silver, Gold and Full Experience. Depending on the type of experience, racers can choose from five acclaimed circuits in Europe. These include Magny-Cours Grand Prix, Magny-Cours Club and Dijon-Prenois in France, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain and Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal.
The Bronze programme allows drivers to get behind the wheels of a Formula Renault 2.0 equipped with a 2.0-litre, 200hp engine with a Tatuus chassis and a 6-speed sequential gearbox. Once an understanding of the machine is developed, the drivers can then take control of the F1 Prost AP04 or F1 Benetton B198, both of which have 650hp power engines.
The Prost was driven by the Prost Grand Prix F1 team which finished 4th in the Belgian GP in Spain 2001. It originally had a Ferrari engine which has been replaced with a Cosworth V8 or Peugeot V10 engine for unique driving experiences. The Benetton was used in the 1998 F1 season and is powered by a Cosworth V8 3.5L engine instead of the original Mecachrome V10.
Silver programme offers two more powerful machines the 700hp Jaguar R2 and the Prost V10. According to LRS Formula, the chassis, engines and livery of both cars are in their original configurations.

How Young Do F1 Drivers Start
You might look at Formula 1 drivers and think that they are very lucky to be where they are. Well, that can be kind of true because the amount of money it takes for a family to get their child to a point where he can race for F1 is far beyond the reach of many people.
However, we must not forget the dedication it takes for these drivers to get to where they are. After all, they start extremely young, and most of them begin in go-karts. While that may seem fun, think about it from the perspective of a seven-year-old kid who has to do the same thing week in and week out. I am sure it must be mentally challenging.

What Makes Monaco Such A Unique Challenge
While many street circuits have hosted Formula One races over the years, none are quite like Monaco. The setting, the history, the risk and reward. Many factors make Monaco one of the most unique challenges in F1.
Winning a race there in 2008, I felt like I was at the top of the highest mountain of the world, explains Lewis Hamilton. So many different things need to come together for that to happen and it is a track where you just cant leave anything on the table.
Cars have been racing on the streets of Monaco since 1929 and in F1 since the sports debut season, 1950. Renowned for its glamour and prestige, its part of motorsports Triple Crown alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
And while those other two races are more focused on endurance, the Monaco Grand Prix is a much shorter race, but with incredible levels of intensity and concentration.
When it comes to the track layout, the circuit is dominated by slow and medium-speed corners, including some of the lowest corner speeds on the calendar. Its narrow layout hasnt changed much over the years, but the cars certainly have and that only adds to the challenge of threading the needle through the twisty streets of Monaco.

F1 Cars Are Not Comfortable
Now, while you are in an F1 car, you will be extremely uncomfortable. First of all, we have already discussed that it gets hot, but millions of dollars get spent every year to shed as much weight as possible within the FIA regulations.
So, while in the cockpit, you will be uncomfortable. You will feel every bump on the road and every vibration of the engine from your feet to your head. For some, this helps them stay in tune with the car, but for regular folk, it might get uncomfortable after the first 10 minutes.

Driving a Formula 1 car is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. These multi-million-dollar machines seem far out of reach when we see them on TV being driven by superstars. However, there are some places where you can drive a real Formula 1 car.
There are some requirements in place before youll be allowed to drive a Formula 1 car, but this is simply because the average person does not have experience in single seaters. At minimum, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license.

Building relationships is paramount if you want to climb up the ranks and become a true contender for Formula 1. Like any other career, its all about networking!
While you complete a race on your own, competitive racing is anything but solitary. There are many teams you can join. Teams are about more than just camaraderie. Theyre about developing skills and learning.
In the single-seater arena, junior teams typically work with seasoned drivers with impressive track records. This will give you the chance to learn from the very best.
This mentor/trainee relationship is an important one. Working with seasoned team members gives you an upper hand. You can see how they work and learn a lot of important racing techniques to push your own skills even further.
Developing relationships with sponsors is important too. As we mentioned earlier, becoming an F1 driver is not cheap. Unless you have the cash to fund your journey, youre going to need sponsors to help you make it to F1.
Typically, sponsorship opportunities will follow you the better you get at racing. Sponsors want to work with visible drivers who are constantly making waves in the racing world.
While F1 drivers usually get the most sponsorship offers, lower formula drivers get attention, too. This is especially true in the European circuit and markets where single-seat racing pulls in millions of viewers.

These rules have included the banning of such ideas as the “wing car” in 1983 the turbocharger in 1989 active suspension and ABS in 1994 slick tyres in 1998 smaller front and rear wings and a reduction in engine capacity from 3.5 to 3.0 litres in 1995 reducing the width of the cars from over 2 metres to around 1.8 metres in 1998 again a reduction in engine capacity from 3.0 to 2.4 litres in 2006 launch control and traction control in 1994, and again in 2004 and 2008, alongside engine braking, after electronic driver aids were reintroduced in 2001. Yet despite these changes, constructors continued to extract performance gains by increasing power and aerodynamic efficiency. As a result, the pole position speed at many circuits in comparable weather conditions dropped between 1.5 and 3 seconds in 2004 over the prior year’s times. The aerodynamic restrictions introduced in 2005 were meant to reduce downforce by about 30%, however, most teams were able to successfully reduce this to a mere 5 to 10% downforce loss. In 2006 the engine power was reduced from 710 to 560 kW by shifting from the 3.0L V10s, used for a decade, to 2.4L V8s. Some of these new engines were capable of achieving 20,000 rpm during 2006, though for the 2007 season engine development was frozen and the FIA limited all engines to 19,000 rpm to increase reliability and control at increasing engine speeds.
