Koenigsegg Ccxr Trevita: $48 Million

The Most EXPENSIVE CARS In The World 2021

The name Trevita is Swedish for three whites which is what describes the Trevitas completely unique and gorgeous finish. For this car, Koenigsegg developed a completely unique carbon fiber diamond weave to create its look, and because of how difficult this process was, only two Trevitas ended up being made, one of which was entrusted to Floyd Mayweather. It takes quite the car to justify that price, and the CCXR Trevita does the job.

Ferrari 275 Gtb/c Speciale By Scaglietti

  • Auction: RM Sotheby’s;Auctions, Monterey Sale, 2014
  • Price: $26,400,000

This £15.7m Ferrari is even rarer than the fabled 250 GTO. It’s one of only three Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale models that were built by the Maranello marque in late 1964 and early 1965 to homologate its new 275 GTB race car. The Ferrari 275 GTB was designed and built to challenge the Ford GT40 and Shelby Cobra Daytona at Le Mans in 1965. It was the first Ferrari to feature independent rear suspension and represented the evolution of the successful 250 series cars, including the iconic 250 GTO.

With aluminium bodywork, a lighter chassis and a tuned V12 engine mounted lower in the car to bring the centre of gravity closer to the track, the 275 GTB/C Speciale was significantly lighter and faster than a standard 275 GTB road car. This particular 275 GTB/C Speciale never saw competitive action on the track but one of the other cars took third place overall at Le Mans in 1965.;

Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible

The Rarest Car in the World

Moving forward in automotive history, here we have the very rare, but surprisingly very average, 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible. Compared to the previous two rare old cars, there is nothing overly luxurious or notable about this muscle car. But, while the Cuda may not appear be anything remarkable from its specifications, it is highly sought out bybaby boomer car enthusiasts who willing to fork over hefty amounts to own one of the 11 Plymouths from 1971.

As there were just under a dozen built in 1971, it is very seldom that we see this car being sold; making it certainly one of the rarest muscle cars. But In January 2013, the rare Plymouth went for$1,320,000 at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. However, just one year later at the Mercum Auctions the Cuda sold for even higher, after a lively 8 minute bidding war, for$3.2 million. At that price even the average muscle car seems pretty remarkable after all.

Bugatti Divo: $59 Million

As if Bugattis offerings werent serious enough, the Divo is just about as serious as any of their cars have ever gotten. While Bugattis are known for being cars that reach incredible speed in a straight line, the Bugatti Divo is meant to dominate in the corners, as well. And with an elongated, more aerodynamic body increased downforce, and 1.6 Gs of lateral acceleration, thats exactly what it does. With Bugatti always being at the forefront of performance, we had no clue that things could take a turn for the better.

And 1970 Dodge Coronet R/t Hemi Convertible

Another American-made rarity, only four Dodge Coronet Convertibles were manufactured: two in 1967 and two in 1970. ;These Dodges are nearly impossible to get your hands on, if you ever had enough cash to pay for one of these rare expensive cars, of course.

All four are equipped with a V8-engine. The 1967 model was the first year in which the R/T was available for this Dodge Coronet. The Dodge upped the ante for the 1970 model now the Coronet Convertible had a whopped 425 HP which was quite impressive for its time.

Even though these Coronets may not be as extraordinary in comparison to say the Jaguar XKSS or Aston Martin 2-liter Sports, the rarity is its major selling point, appealing to and intriguing rare car collectors. It has been sold for upwards of$150,000 during auctions quite a few times. Might not be one of the most expensive cars out there, but hold its place as one of the rarest cars in the world.

A Light And Luxurious Design

Driving the MOST Expensive Car in the WORLD!! (GOLD BUGATTI)

Compared to hypercars with engines that generate over 1,000 hp, the Tricolores numbers may not seem too impressive. However, like any other hypercar, its V12 can do a lot of work, largely thanks to how light the car is. As CNET wrote, this is because Pagani used a lot of carbon fiber and aluminum on the vehicle.

This is true on both the outside and on the inside of the Tricolore. The Huayra was known for having a strange interior, so its no surprise that its the same story as the Tricolore. For example, while the Tricolore has the usual hypercar amenities such as leather seats, racing harnesses, and a lot of unique badging, it also has a sort of useless accessory.;

CNET said that the Tricolore has a Pitot tube on the cars nose, which is not very common on a production car. This device is used to measure airspeed on planes, which isnt very useful on a vehicle. But, since the Tricolore only has seats for two people, practicality isnt a big deal.

Does Tiger Woods Own A Jet

Tiger Woods: Gulfstream G550

Just like Nicklaus, Woods loves the Gulfstream jet lifestyle, opting for a $53 million Gulfstream G550. His private jet is serviced by two pilots and attendants, can house as many as 19 passengers, has a cruising speed of 652 mph, and has a maximum range of a whopping 7,767 miles.

Dodge Coronet Convertible $250000

The convertible Dodge Coronet was manufactured in 1967 and again in 1970. And it makes it onto this list for being extremely rare as only two cars were built in each model year. That means that there are only two 1967 and two 1970 Dodge Coronet convertibles. While the Dodge Coronet is not the prettiest convertible ever built, and there is nothing particularly innovative about the car, the fact that it is so rare has boosted its price the few times one of the four models in existence has made it to auction. For collectors, the fact that this car is so rare is enough to make them shell out big bucks for it.

Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport $36 Million

The World

The second most expensive production car right now is, unsurprisingly, a Bugatti. The automaker produces very few cars, and theyre well known for their high speeds and sticker prices. The Pur Sport is both of those things.

Though it has the same 8.0-liter turbocharged W16 engine as the regular Chiron, the Pur Sport is sportier. This is mostly because it weighs about 100 pounds less than the standard Chiron.

And like other most expensive cars in the world, the Pur Sport is exclusive and sold out. Bugatti will build only 60 units.

And, of course, the Sián is an exclusive car. Lamborghini says it will produce only 63 examples. Once again, theyre sold out.;

The Most Expensive Cars In The World

So here we go, below are the worlds most expensive cars sold at auction. Were restricting this most expensive car list to auction sales as these can be easily verified.

Porsche 916 $3 Million

We are all familiar with the Porsche 911. The Porsche 916, not so much. In the cult of Porsche, the 916 is the rarest of models and one of the rarest cars in the world today. Only 11 of the 916 models were built in 1972, all of them prototypes. And among the 11 cars made, only one was shipped to the United States. It is now housed at the Automobile Atlanta Museum in Marietta, Georgia. What doomed the Porsche 916 was its price. With a retail tag of $14,000 , it was eventually decided that the 916 model would be too expensive to attract buyers and the project was scraped after the prototypes were made. The head honchos at Porsche decided to focus instead on the 911 model, which sold for $10,000 at the time, and the rest, as they say, is history. Still, it is a shame that the 916 never got off the ground. The car had a top speed of 145 miles per hour, which made it the fastest Porsche ever at the time. It was also the lightest Porsche and featured stiffer springs than the 914 and 911 models, as well as pressurized shocks, four-wheel vented disc brakes and sway bars at the front and rear. It has sold for $3 million to private buyers in recent years.
