Its a good idea to read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines on the title, and read any instructions on the title before you start filling in information.

On the front of your Wisconsin title is a colored box. Thats where you will fill in all your information. The text is divided into two columns.

  • Print your name where it says SELLER.

    Its a good idea to read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines on the title, and read any instructions on the title before you start filling in information. Note that Oklahoma titles must be notarized. This can be done at one of over 300 authorized tag agent offices throughout the state. Dont fill out the title until you get to the office, and bring photo identification with you. If you dont, the notary will not be able to notarize your signature.

    Look for the words Assignment of title by registered owner on the front of your Oklahoma car title. Fill in the following information under that.

    A Simple Transfer Of A Car Title

    Transferring a car title is usually fairly straightforward. The seller will release their ownership of the vehicle by signing the existing car title. Depending on the state that youre in, additional information may need to be filled out. That might include the cars odometer reading, the buyers name and contact information, the sale price, or other details.

    If the car is titled in two peoples names, then they are both required to sign the title. In some states, the signatures will need to be witnessed by a notary, so youll want to check on your states rules before signing.

    Once the owner of the car have signed the title, the buyer can take it to the appropriate state office, such as the department of motor vehicles, to have a new title issued in their name.

    To transfer a car title in Hawaii, the seller needs to be fill out information on the front of the document. The buyer needs to fill out information on the back.

  • On the front of the title, near the middle, the seller must write in the current odometer reading on the vehicle.
  • Near the bottom, the seller must fill in the following information on the appropriate lines: Date the vehicle was sold, and their printed name and signed name .
