Its a good idea to read these instructions, locate all the appropriate lines on the title, and read any instructions on the title before you start filling in information.

Note that Oklahoma titles must be notarized. This can be done at one of over 300 authorized tag agent offices throughout the state.     Transferring a car title is usually fairly straightforward. The seller will release their ownership of the vehicle by signing the existing car title. Depending on the state that youre in, additional information may need to be filled out. That might include the cars odometer reading, the buyers name and contact information, the sale price, or other details.

    If the car is titled in two peoples names, then they are both required to sign the title. In some states, the signatures will need to be witnessed by a notary, so youll want to check on your states rules before signing.
