Base rates do not include optional insurance, taxes, Vehicle Licensing fee, applicable Airport Concession Recovery Fee and the Hawaii Highway Revenue surcharge. Renters will be responsible for all charges at the rental location.
Weekly rates can be based on 5 7 consecutive days rental on one island only.
DEBIT CARDS: Debit cards must have the Visa or MasterCard logo on the card. The renter must show proof of a round trip travel ticket. Debit cards are NOT accepted from Same City/Island Renters or young drivers . To rent at off-airport locations the Same City/Island Renter must show a current pay stub and utility bill.
Age Requirements: Qualified renters shall be at least 21 years of age. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 will be assessed a $20 per day surcharge and may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars, Cargo and Minivans, Pickup Trucks, Convertibles.Enterprise has a 29 minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is returned within 2 hours of the time it was rented on a subsequent day, additional hourly charges will apply. Over 2 hours or more will incur an additional day charge.

Child Seat Requirements In Us & Eu
When hopping from country to country, keep in mind that local laws vary. Safety standards for car rental child seats in the United States wont necessarily match countries throughout Europe. Heres what you need to know:
EU Car Seat Laws
- All children must travel in a child seat, booster seat, or booster cushion.
- Children between ages 3 and 12 must use an appropriate child restraint in the car if they are fitted with safety belts.
- If there are active airbags in the passenger seats, rear-facing child restraints must not be used. However, for all other options, the air-bags must always be active.
- Any child under 150cms or weighing less than 36kg must be restrained in a child restraint, appropriate for their height and weight.
- If possible, the safest place to position a child is in the back seat of the car with the appropriate child restraint. Children who sit in the front seat require the appropriate restraint for their height and weight.

Renting A Car Seat Can Be Expensive
Renting a car seat might be misfortunate since sometimes you may pay the price as expensive as it is for the new car seat. The cost can range from $15 per day to $60 for the whole rental.

Child Safety Seats:
Child safety and booster car seats are required for children seven and younger. Families are obligated by law to use these car seats in their vehicles for both safety and legal reasons. Bring your own or reserve one with your Hawaii car rental. Hawaii law requires children under the age of four to ride in a child safety seat.
Hawaii law requires children ages four through seven to ride in a child safety seat or a booster seat when traveling in a motor vehicle. The driver will be held responsible for compliance with the law. Violators of the law are required to attend a 4-hour class and may be assessed a fine of $100-$500 depending upon the number of offenses.

If you’re renting a car in Hawaii and don’t know the area then you’ll definitely want to consider all GPS navigation options. There are daily and weekly GPS rates. Most locations provide GPS devices as an option. GPS is a must have option in unfamiliar territory. Renting A Child Car Seat May Not Meet Your Safety Standards

Not Meeting The Safety Standards
The safety standards can vary from a parent to another parent, from a family to another family. This is highly unacceptable since the car seat laws and the experts claim what we as parents must do if we want our children safe on the road.
However, many parents do follow the regulations, so after their kids outgrow rear-facing seats, they use forward-facing until they are old and developed enough to use boosters.
There comes an issue with the Hertz car seat rental company or the Enterprise car seat rental and delivery company. As you might see, their options limit only to individual seats, including in most cases booster seats. The issue is that they offer booster seats for children who are four years old. When you tell them it’s not correct, they don’t mind, and still, you’ll get a booster.
And what can you do in cases like this? Should you put your baby, two or three-year-old kiddo in a booster? What if your child outgrows the allowed weight and height? Will you place your ten months old kid into a booster? More vitally, some countries, in fact, ALLOW this. Ridiculous!
You can only rent infant car seats as a safer option since they will keep your babies within six and nine months old safe and protected. But you still won’t know their history or be confident 100% about the availability.
Beware Of Enterprise Car Rental
I recently booked a car rental and toddler seat with Enterprise for a trip to France with hubby and DS. Upon arrival, we were told that the car was available, but the toddler seat was not, and were instead handed a child booster seat which DS is at least 10 lbs too light for. When we complained, we were told basically that is all there is, take it or leave it. As it was a small regional French airport and that was the only car rental desk open, we had to take the car and I had to drive to the nearest supermarket , to purchase the correct car seat for 138 euros.I have complained to Enterprise, but have been told that it is in their small print that car seats, even when booked, are still only subject to availability.This would have been crap enough without the trip being to visit my mum who is in the end stages of ALS.Bottom line, if you are thinking of booking with Enterprise, book with someone else as it seems child safety is not a huge priority for them.
If you had read the small print you would have known it was subject to availability, and at a small regional French airport they might not have them. I also suspect that all car hire companies will have exactly the same small print. I have used Enterprise frequently and never has a problem but then I have never booked a car seat, as I have one I leave at my Dads.I am sorry that your trip was hard and about your Mum.

What Do I Need To Rent A Car From Enterprise
Bring your confirmation # with you to your pick up location. This can be your whole confirmation email from us, or just the confirmation # details on your phone. Your drivers license is always a necessity. An International Drivers Permit may be needed as an additional document if your drivers license is not in English. A credit card matching the name of the main driver, or a debit card may be accepted if you have a return ticket, and if it has a Visa or MasterCard Logo, and passes a credit check where required. You will need to bring any additional drivers, their drivers license and credit card to the car rental counter as well.
