How To Remove Stains From A Car Seat

Literally every day we have customers calling to ask if we can take the stains out of their upholstery or carpeting in their car. There are many different factors that can determine if we can or cant remove stains in a car seat. The age of the stain, the severity, and many other factors play a big part in the removal process. Some stains will not be able to be removed. We use a three-step method. The three-step method includes shampoo, steam agitation, and hot water extraction. Below is the drivers seat of a Hyundai Elantra. As you can tell its in pretty bad condition. Elantras are great cars and they are very nice, but the seats in the Hyundai Elantras are probably the worst type of seat to keep clean. All one has to do is literally wet their fingertip, touch the seat, and itll leave a stain. In this case, however, it appears that the owner of the vehicle spilled water, soda pop, coffee, and who knows what else, multiple times. Check out the photo below.

The next step is to agitate the surface with steam. We use a VX5000 vapor steamer. It has a triangular-shaped brush with medium coarse bristles. Inside of the bristles is where the steam is released into the seat surface. Simply scrub the area for a moment to agitate the top of the seat. This process is bringing 90 percent of the dirt and grime to the top of the seat for easy extraction.

Remove Dog Urine Smell From Hardwood Floor

How to Get Coffee Stains out of Carpet

Your dog just peed on your wooden floor. Don’t yell at them and start acting right away.

Cover the puddle with a thick layer of paper towels or dish towels. To hasten absorption, you might stand on the towels for a while. To absorb the pee, keep using new towels until they are completely dry.

Because urine can soak into the wood, odours from hardwood floors are challenging to clean. You can try a couple of different approaches, though.

Combine white vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio. Rub the solution onto the stain using a sponge. Let it sit for five to ten minutes before wiping it away with a fresh, dry towel.

A more diluted solution of 1/2 cup vinegar to 1 gallon of warm water is recommended by some experts since vinegar can harm the floor. In either case, try out the remedy on a tiny, discrete area of the floor first.

If the smell persists, sprinkle baking soda on the damp floor and leave it there for at least a few hours or overnight. Vacuum it up with the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner.

As a last option, use an enzyme-based stain remover suitable for hardwood floors. After conducting a small area test, adhere to the directions on the product’s packaging. Clean the floor with whatever you typically use on it once the pee and its smell have been eliminated.

How To Get Dried Chocolate Milk Out Of Carpet

Getting dried chocolate milk out of your carpet is not really that difficult. You also have to be sure that you can use water on carpet before you even begin the process. Since you will also be using some soap, it is always a wise idea that you do a spot test first in a tiny unnoticeable part on carpet.

For this process, you will need a butter knife or spoon, microfiber cloths, colorless gentle dishwashing liquid, baking soda, water, and vacuum cleaner.

  • Use the butter knife or spoon to gently scrape away the dried milk. It is best to use light touch when doing this or else, you will end up damaging the carpet fibers.
  • Throw the milk flakes in the wastebasket or use the vacuum cleaner.
  • After removing most of the dried chocolate mill, mix one dishwashing liquid tablespoon with two cups cold water.
  • Dip a corner of the microfiber cloth in this solution then dab this on the stain. Work starting from outside in to prevent the milk from spreading further.
  • Use a different part of the cloth when necessary to avoid spreading the milk.
  • Continue with this process until you have already gotten rid of the milk. Get a fresh piece of cloth to blot dry the area.
  • After the fibers or fabric have dried off, sprinkle these with some baking soda. Allow it to sit overnight to let absorb any lingering traces of the smells of sour milk. See to it that you keep the room closed off to small children and pets.
  • Vacuum the carpet the following day to eliminate all traces of baking soda.
