Connect The Batteries With Jumper Cables
The jumper cables come clearly marked one in red and one in black and be very careful while connecting the batteries.
Find the positive terminal on one cars battery, marked with the + and connect it with the + marked terminal on the other cars battery, by using the red cable.

1. Safety always comes first when dealing with electricity. Make sure that there are no metal objects nearby, like tools or even jewellery, that could come into contact with the batteries or cables – and take off any clothing that could get caught inside the engine bay.
You should also make sure that the batteries of both cars aren’t damaged. If a battery’s plastic casing is broken or it looks like it is leaking, don’t try anything – either remove it yourself, if you know what you’re doing, or take it to a professional to be replaced. Likewise, if the cables are damaged it may be best to borrow someone else’s or buy some new ones – they’re not too expensive.
2. After you’ve moved two cars close together so that the leads will reach between the batteries, it’s time to connect the leads. 3. Connect one end of the black jump lead to the negative terminal – marked with a minus symbol – on Car 2’s battery.

You would need a willing car for this since you are tapping from another battery. Perhaps a Good Samaritan that you flag down on the road or a compassionate co-worker will suffice. Get the donor vehicle close to yours but without them touching and turn off the engines.
Open the hoods of the two cars and locate the batteries. If either of them shows any sign of a leak or crack, do not continue. Get a tow truck to transport them to a repair shop.

Connect The Cables To The Battery Terminals

Take the red clamp in your hand and attach it to the positive terminal of the dead battery. Do not let the black clamp on that end of the jumper cable touch metal or the red clamp. Wiggle the red clamp you’ve just attached to make sure that it’s biting into the metal part of the terminal and has a good connection. Now, attach the red clamp at the other end of the jumper cable to the good battery’s positive terminal, and attach the black clamp on that same end to the good battery’s negative terminal. Remember not to let the clamps touch while you are making the connections, or your jump-start will turn into a no-start.
Next, find a piece of bare metal under the hood of the car with the dead batteryan unpainted bolt head sticking out from the body will do. Attach the remaining black clamp to it. Do not attach this last black clamp to the dead battery! That could cause a spark and could potentially ignite a fire under the hood .
