To obtain information regarding your renewal, you may visit the Department’s Renewal Requirements Inquiry system.
Missouri license plates must be renewed during the expiration month or before. You can renew them up to six months early , and you have up to four convenient renewal options:
- Phone-in Renewal: Call 751-1957 to see if you are eligible to renew over the phone. Service available Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Online: You may be eligible to renew online at www.plates.mo.gov if a Personal Identification Number appears on your Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice
- Mail: You may renew by mail following the instructions on your Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice or
- In Person: You may visit any Missouri license office.
Because itâs easy to put things off, the busiest time in license offices is near the end of each month. If you plan ahead and visit any Missouri license office earlier than that, you will have a quicker visit. Make sure you read your renewal notice and have your paperwork ready to go, and your license office visit will run smoothly.
NOTE: Vehicle owners may only obtain two year-registration for an even model year vehicle in an even calendar year, or for an odd model year vehicle in an odd calendar year.
Before You Begin Make Sure You Have:
Your license plate number.
The last 5 digits of your vehicle identification number or hull identification number for a vessel/boat.
A renewal notice confirming your current address.
Your payment information credit, debit, or e-check.

Renew Registration By Mail
- Make sure everything on your notice is correct and follow the directions on your notice for completing your renewal.
- Write a check or money order for your renewal fee.
- Send everything to the address located on your renewal notice.
Renewing your registration by mail takes the most amount of time. Consider renewing in person if your registration is close to expiring.

Apply For An Accessible Parking Permit
Accessible parking permits can be issued to a person or a company.
To be eligible, you need to have:
- a health condition that meets the eligible health conditions
- authorization from a healthcare practitioner to be eligible for an accessible parking permit
An individual accessible parking permit is issued to a person, not a vehicle. In order to park in an accessible parking space, the permit must be clearly displayed on the sun visor or dashboard of the vehicle and the permit holder must be either a passenger in, or a driver of, the vehicle that is using the accessible parking space.
You can get a permit as a passenger only, or as both passenger and a driver. Accessible parking permits may be issued if you have a temporary, subject to change or permanent disability.
To apply for an accessible parking permit, there are 2 parts to the application form:
- Part A to be completed with customer information
- Part B to be completed by a healthcare practitioner
If you already have an accessible parking permit that has a permanent status, you can now renew online.
Locations To Get A Replacement Vehicle Registration In Florida
Florida has many locations across the state able to issue a replacement car registration. Find one that is convenient for you on their website.
Most offices are open 8:30 AM to 5 PM but those in more rural areas may be have restricted hours. Check online or call ahead to make sure you arent wasting your time.

Check Your Vehicle Identification Number Before You Renew
You will need to correct your vehicle identification number before you can renew your licence plate sticker online.
If the vehicle identification number on your dashboard and vehicle permit does not match, you will need to visit ServiceOntario to correct it. You will need to bring the following documents:
- the vehicle permit the vehicle portion of the permit is required
- your Canada Inter-Province Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Card
- one of the following documents:
- original vehicle manufacturers warranty
- copy of manufacturers invoice
- original or copy of the bill/certificate of sale from the original selling dealer
- letter from an authorized dealer for your make of vehicle verifying the correct vehicle identification number of the vehicle
- copy of certificate of title/certificate of origin
- copy of new vehicle information statement .
- original safety standards certificate, form SR-E-214, only if the last 6 characters of the vehicle identification number are correct
- sworn affidavit by the vehicle owner explaining the vehicle identification number error
If you do not have insurance, you must get it from an insurance provider licensed to do business in Ontario. Proof of insurance is required to renew your licence plate sticker.
