Here is a selection I pulled:

10 hours a week in Chigaco = $250

30 hours a week in NYC = $1140

15 hours a week in Birmingham, Al = $525

As you can see, you can often earn more per hour in the smaller cities as there is less competition for drivers AND distances may be longer.

Am I eligible?

If youre serious about a career as a driving instructor then there are certain things youll need. You must:

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Have held a driving licence for a minimum of four years
• Not have been disqualified from driving in the four years before you apply to join the Driving Standard Agencys register of driving instructors
• held on your licence in the last six years. If you have six or more points you may struggle to get on a driving instructor training course

There are many services you could choose to work with, with each company having its own perks and downsides. Services include DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates, Grubhub, Instacart and more. Depending on which one you choose, you’ll be picking up and delivering food from local restaurants or grocery stores.

As with ridesharing, you can set your own schedule with this gig, and you’ll receive a payment for each delivery you make.

Postmates: $25 Pr Hour

Postmates is a delivery company that delivers a huge range of things, like groceries, office supplies, lunch and dinner.

You can work as a delivery driver for the company and set your own schedule.

Whats great about this company is that it pays up to $25 an hour. And, you get tips as well.

Roadie differs a little from the other companies on this list.

Its an on-the-way delivery network.

This means that its designed to match people who need items delivered, with drivers who are already headed in the right direction.

Again, with this one you get to set your own schedule.

Customers post deliveries and a price for each one.

All you need to do is choose the jobs youre interested in.

The amount youll earn varies from delivery to delivery. But, the company does state that most local jobs pay between $8 and $50.

And for long distance jobs with oversized items, couriers can earn up to $650.

Deliv provides same day delivery services to businesses.

And, it hires Delivery Specialists to make these deliveries.

As a Delivery Specialist, you get paid to pick up and deliver items.

Ideally, you get to set your own schedule. You can either schedule times to work ahead of time, or you can just choose open hours on the day.

With this one, you can earn up to $20 an hour, and payment is sent weekly.

If you are able to make a profit from renting out your vehicle and everything goes according to plan, then yes it is 100% worth it. If you do not use your vehicle often, this is a fantastic way to earn passive cash.
