- Personal Accident Insurance and Personal Effects Coverage is available at all Enterprise Locations. Except for rentals originating from British Columbia.
Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter’s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any members of the renter’s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter’s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. This is a summary only.
PAI-PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations and exclusions of the PAI-PEC policy underwritten by AIG Insurance Company of Canada. The purchase of PAI-PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI-PEC may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage.
Enterprise is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI-PEC.

How Much Does Enterprise Hold As A Security Deposit
The total security deposit will depend on several factors, including the vehicle type and pickup location. The company will require a larger deposit for a luxury vehicle, and it can also matter where you pick up the car.
If youre renting a car at an airport, Enterprise will typically authorize a hold for 120 percent of the rental. That breaks down to the cost of the rental plus a 20-percent security deposit for incidentals.
For an economy car at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, our test price was $216 with a deposit of $44, or 20 percent. In this case, Enterprise would hold $260 on the renters card.
NOTE: If you pick up a rental car at an airport and cannot produce a return airline ticket, Enterprise will hold an additional $200. Your credit card would be charged 120% of the rental charge plus $200. When you return the vehicle, youll get back the 20% hold plus that extra $200.
Renting in a city can also mean a bigger hold. When we priced out renting an economy car in downtown Boston, the rental cost came to about $300 with a $250 deposit. In this case, the total hold would be $550.

Base rates do not include optional insurance, taxes, Vehicle Licensing fee, applicable Airport Concession Recovery Fee and the Hawaii Highway Revenue surcharge. Renters will be responsible for all charges at the rental location.
Weekly rates can be based on 5 7 consecutive days rental on one island only.
DEBIT CARDS: Debit cards must have the Visa or MasterCard logo on the card. The renter must show proof of a round trip travel ticket. Debit cards are NOT accepted from Same City/Island Renters or young drivers . To rent at off-airport locations the Same City/Island Renter must show a current pay stub and utility bill.

To rent a car, you need the following:

Please note that it is necessary for all three documents to be under the same name and to physically bring all three documents with you due to safety reasons, a copy or screenshot is not sufficient. Additionally, the reason a credit card is needed is due to the deposit. We wish to simply block a deposit on your card, so it can be released right away upon return of the car in good condition with a debit card, the sum of the deposit would have to be taken from the account right away. Furthermore, if you are renting a car from the Luxury car category, two creditcards have to be brought in, both in the main drivers name.
