Car Registration Fees For Military Personnel
If you’re in the military and stationed in Oklahoma or are an OK resident, you can receive a reduced registration rate of $26.
To get the reduced rate, you must complete and submit the U.S. Armed Forces Affidavit * along with your other required registration documents.

Low Speed Vehicles Neighborhood Electric Vehicles And Golf Carts
Low speed vehicles built to specific federal standards may be registered and operated on public streets where the speed limit is 35 mph or less. Golf carts, ATVs and homemade vehicles do not qualify and may not be converted.

Change Of Vehicle Details/vehicle Modifications
If you have changed your vehicle’s details or you’ve had a modification made to your vehicle you must complete a change of vehicle particulars notification and lodge it at a transport and motoring customer service centre. If you live in a rural area you can visit a QGAP office, or local police station that provides registration servicesplease call to confirm before visiting. You must bring your modified vehicle with you to be inspected and also bring evidence of your identity.
The details you are changing or the modifications you make may affect the cost of your registration fee and/or CTP insuranceif they do, you will need to pay the difference before the changes will come into effect.

Military Personnel Stationed Out Of State Titling And Registration Requirements
To obtain a Missouri title and registration on a motor vehicle, you must submit the following:

You have 30 days from the date of becoming a Missouri resident to title your vehicle.
If your lienholder is currently in possession of your out-of-state title, please complete the owner and vehicle/unit information sections of the Owner Out-of-State Title Request. Mail, email, or fax the completed form to your lienholder to request the original out-of-state title. If the lienholder is unable to release the out-of-state title to you, the lienholder may complete and notarize the bottom section of the form and return the completed form along with acceptable proof of ownership documents to you. Once you have received the out-of-state title or acceptable proof of ownership documents, you may apply for Missouri title and registration.

Missouri Resident Titling Requirements
You have 30 days from the date of purchase to title and pay sales tax on your newly purchased vehicle. If you do not title the vehicle within 30 days, there is a title penalty of $25 on the 31st day after purchase. The penalty increases another $25 for every 30 days you are late with a maximum penalty of $200.

How Online Car Registration Varies Across States
According to My Improv, Whether or not you can complete your registration online will have to do with the policy of the state you live in. Some states will allow you to complete the entire registration process online, even allowing you to take traffic school to aid in the dismissal of a ticket. These states include Texas, California, New York, and Arizona. To be able to complete the online registration process in California, the car must be used and have been registered in California for the previous year. If the vehicle comes from a different state, then you will have to go in to complete the registration process.
To be allowed to complete the online registration process in these states, all documents will need to be able to be electronically submitted, such as your proof of insurance and smog check. If these documents cannot be submitted electronically, you may be required to mail them in to complete the registration process.
It is important to note that in some states if you have any tickets that are still outstanding, successful completion of payment may be required in order for the registration process to be complete.
Texas also allows you to register your vehicle online, and you even have the ability to register it quickly as you will not need for the registration form to come. You can simply input the VIN number or licenses plate immediately to obtain registration.

Fees To Register Your Vehicle In Ok
The fee to register your vehicle is based on several factors. For accepted forms of payment, contact your local Oklahoma tag agent office.
The first time you register a vehicle in OK, you’ll pay:
- A title fee: $11.
You may ALSO have to pay:
- A title transfer fee for a vehicle you’ve just bought: $17.
- A VIN inspection fee for used or out-of-state vehicles: $4.
- A lien processing fee,if your vehicle is financed:
- $10 if the lienholder is in Oklahoma.

Duplicate And Replacement Registration
A duplicate registration is needed when you require a new license plate, sticker, or registration document due to being lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.

- You must visit a branch to obtain a duplicate plate. You will receive the same plate number and same plate type if a replacement/duplicate plate is needed.

- You may print a duplicate registration through at no cost. State Form 37135 – Application for Replacement or Duplicate License Plate is not required to be submitted for a duplicate motor vehicle registration.

If you are completing any of the above transactions , you may also transfer a license plate from a vehicle that you own or have sold/disposed of to a different vehicle that you own or have newly acquired/purchased. Stay Current To Avoid Penalties
Vehicle registration needs to be renewed yearly or every few years, depending on the state you live in. And you may need to pay a fee each time you renew the registration.
If your registration isnt current and you get pulled over, you could get a ticket and have to pay a penalty. Your states DMV or transportation agency might also charge penalties for expired registration. Not keeping your registration could lead to problems down the line, and may even cause your car insurance rates to increase.
On top of fees, your car could be impounded. If this happens, the vehicle can be held until all fines and registration fees are paid. You may also have to pay towing and impound fees.

Your vehicle registration may be renewed online 90 days before the expiration date or up to 9 months after the expiration date, if you have not received a citation for expired registration. Your expiration month will not change.

Registration renewal notices are mailed to all registered vehicle owners. To register by mail, send the following to your county tax office:
